How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on Your Client Portal Account Print

  • 0

Securing your TIN Solutions Client Portal account with Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds a critical second layer of protection against unauthorized access, password interception, and account takeover.

How 2FA Protects Your Account

When 2FA is active, logging in requires both your password and a temporary 6-digit verification code generated by an authenticator application on your smartphone (such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or 1Password).

Step-by-Step Activation

  1. Log in to your TIN Solutions Client Portal at portal.tinsolutions.co.za.
  2. Click on your name in the top navigation bar → select Security Settings.
  3. Locate the Two-Factor Authentication section and click Click here to Enable.
  4. Click Get Started. A unique QR code and backup recovery secret will appear on your screen.
  5. Open your authenticator app on your smartphone, tap Add Account / Scan QR Code, and point your camera at the screen.
  6. Enter the 6-digit code displayed in your app into the portal verification box and click Submit.
  7. Important: Copy and store your Backup Recovery Code in a safe, secure place. If you ever lose your phone, this code allows you to regain access.
